| Painting walls! |
Today, with the help of my lovely kids, I painted the walls of my workshop, so it is now looking lovely and white. I am getting very excited as I should be able to move all my equipment into my new room very soon. It will mean that I will be able to make more beautiful jewellery as I won't have to keep putting all my equipment away! Yesterday we went to Clyne Gardens with the fantastic Natasha Barber to do some filming for a promotional video for Purple Panda Designs. It was a great experience. Thank you to Emma, Hannah, Billie and my feet for playing the starring roles. It will be a couple of weeks before we get the film on line, so keep checking back at www.purplepandadesigns.co.uk. Finally got aroung to polishing my new Sterling Silver Stud Earrings today, with my new Foredom Drill. They look so lovely and shiny, and the drill is ace. Next job to photograph and price them up. Purple Panda Designs has just applied to be the 'Apprentice' At The Bench. I am sooo excited and have my fingers soooo tightly crossed. This is the biggest, most exciting thing I have done this year. I have to wait untill October 5th/6th to find out if I have been picked as one of the top 6 applicants.

Purple Panda Designs had a lovely afternoon at the Strawberry Tea at Cornerstone Church in aid of Breast Cancer Care. A huge thank you to everyone at Cornerstone Church who organised it and made everyone feel so welcome. Can't wait to find out how much they raised - I believe it is over £700.

Have been making some stud earrings. Some are using reticulated silver sweat soldered onto plain silver - very classy. Others I have done making little 'bowls' of silver and then filling with coloured clay - they look really bright and snazzy. Will post photo's later this week.

We had a lovely morning at Penllergaer Local Produce and Craft Market today. It was great to see new cusomers and some familiar faces. There were lots of great stalls including Millie's Market and Mama's Muffins, Purplep Panda Designs Jewellery (that's me!), photos, plus delicious handmade chocolates, homemade curry and lots of bread, chuckneys, Jams, meat and vegetables. This month there were the also classic cars there for all to see and enjoy. All in all this is a very lovely market and is definately one to visit.

WOW what an exciting few days. I have been approached by Myfaveshop marketplace to sell my jewellery through them. They picked up our website and obviously liked what they saw. This means that Purple Panda Designs will be on the shopping pages of GMTV, The Independant and 365 Digital Media - thats alot of traffic seeing my jewellery designs. We will be working behind the scenes to get this all set up. So watch this space for when we go live with them....

| Fantasic NEW Necklace |
Today I have just finished a custom order for a necklace. It is 80cm long and made out of Fine Silver rings and hammered ovals. It retails at £215 WOW. I now have to work out how to photograph it, as it is too long for my display bust!! Any suggestions would be gratefully received. My current thinking is that I may need to ask a friend to model it for me.

Last night we took the kids to see The Cavern Beatles at the Swansea Grand Theatre. They were brilliant. They dedicated a song to the kids because they had boards with 'I Love The Beatles' on them. How cool was that!!! It made their day.

Had a lovely morning selling at Penllergaer Market. Saw a couple of returning customers which is always lovely. Took a few orders. And chatted with friends. The Scouts were there this month raising money by selling hot dogs and bacon butties - yum!

We are so pleased to say the Nuthatch was back in the garden this morning. As were the Great Tit family and the baby House Sparrows. We watched as one of the baby House Sparrows was shown by its parent how to get seed from the feeder. We saw it take its first food by itself...wow...isn't nature wonderful.

| The Wetlands, Llanelli |
This afternoon we popped over to the Wetlands Llanelli. We fed the ducks, saw lots of ducklings - very cute - had a coffee and cake, then headed home. I highly recommended this as a place to visit. A really enjoyable and relaxing experience. They have even got a new coffee machine! for those of you who have been before.
